The LAF Wine Tank is claimed to offer superior performance in oxygen resistance due to its aluminium oxygen resistant barrier. This barrier, LAF Qingdao claims, reduces oxygen transmission by 50 percent compared with an EVOH flexitank barrier. The company also says the barrier results in a higher tensile strength.
The PE materials uses in the flexitank are said to be tested by SGS and in full compliance with the US FDA and EC Directive 2007/72/EC and amendments relating to plastic materials coming into contact with foodstuffs.
