Haanpaa opens steam heating station

Finland’s Haanpaa Group has opened a new heating station in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The station offers heating services to all customers and partners 24/7. Its capacity is currently up to 10 containers at a pressure of 1-6 bars and a temperature up to +180degC. But this can be increased, according to Daniel Hauffe who is responsible for the international traffic in Haanpaa Group.

“The opening of our new heating station in Saint-Petersburg is part of our strategic plan to grow and become the market leader of international and domestic chemical tank transports in Russia,” Hauffe continued. “The news has been received very positively by the market and we already have more booked heatings than expected.”

“We are considering opening more heating stations in Russia in the future depending on where the need is. The weather in Russia can be very cold during winter and you need to be 100 percent in control of the temperature of the product to become successful here,” he continued. “Of course we also offer electric heated containers and road tankers with active heating system for more sensitive products that require this.”
