Marc Henri Fermont honoured with the Fecc Award 2013

Fecc AwardThe European Association of Chemical Distributors (Fecc) grants the Fecc Award 2013 to Marc Henri Fermont, in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the success of the chemical distribution industry. Edgar E. Nordmann, Fecc President, presented Mr. Fermont with the award at the Gala Dinner celebrated in the frame of the Fecc Annual Congress in Hamburg.

The Fecc Award symbolises the recognition to those who have distinguished themselves for outstanding performance in the European chemical distribution industry. “The leaders of the chemical distribution industry are an example of positive adaptation and dedication. An outstanding leader is someone who creates an environment where others succeed. To achieve this, a leader needs to have not only ample knowledge but must also be courageous, enthusiastic, creative and a tireless worker. We are extremely lucky to count with Mr. Fermont who has demonstrated he possesses all these qualities and more. Never afraid of stirring controversy and with a great eye to spot talent, he has played a key role in the in the history of our industry”, added Mr. Nordmann, when presenting Mr. Fermont with the award.

When accepting the award, Mr. Fermont commented, “I am proud to have been associated for more than twenty five years with chemical distribution which for me represents the human side of the chemical industry. Chemical distribution is all based on the distributors’ human chemistry with their suppliers and customers. It will always remain a very successful and profitable segment of the chemical industry, provided it continues to comply with governance and environmental rules”
