JMP ‘WOWs’ WineTech

JMP WOW awardOn 15 July at the triennial WineTech trade exhibition, held in Sydney Australia, JMP Holdings Pty Ltd were awarded the WOW Award for its presentation and launch of the Trust Flexitank.
Open to all 134 exhibiting companies, the WOW Award is an initiative of Wine Industry Suppliers Australia Inc (WISA) and sponsored by Wine Business Magazine (WBM). The award recognises companies launching a new product, service or initiative to the wine industry. The three person judging panel consisted of WISA Vice-Chair Tim Duval, WBM’s Editor Anthony Madigan and wine industry strategist and advisor Peter Hayes. The seven finalists for the award were given the opportunity to make a short presentation at their stands to the judges. After deliberation, JMP Holdings came out on top.
At the event, JMP launched the Trust Flexitank to the Australian and New Zealand wine market. Commenting on the WOW award success, JMP Cargo Care general manager, Jason Beattie, said: “We were a little anxious after the presentation to the judging panel as we were sure JMP were up against some serious competition. When the announcement of our success was made we were delighted to have been recognised. We’d like to thank WISA and WBM for the award,” he concluded.
Representing WISA on the judging panel, vice-chair Tim Duval added: “JMP had impressed the judges with its commitment to improving the quality of wine being exported in bulk. The Trust Flexitank’s more effective rectangular shape and reduced migration of taint compounds and oxygen transfer are important in providing increased confidence to winemakers. Further, with more wine now being exported in bulk rather than in bottle, the Trust Flexitank is an important step in protecting brand Australia.”
