Rinchem expands in S Korea

Rinchem Company has acquired a controlling interest in IHUB Company, Ltd, a South Korean-based provider of chemical warehousing and transport. Rinchem – which provides logistics for high-purity, temperature-controlled chemicals and gases – plans to use the acquisition to support its growing customer base in the South Korean market.

According to John Fitzsimons, VP of operations, the acquisition of IHUB represents another milestone in Rinchem’s path to becoming a leading supplier of chemical management services to the semiconductor industry within the Asia-Pacific region. “Rinchem provides unparalleled expertise to its customers with regard to the safe and efficient management of hazardous and highly regulated chemicals and gases,” he stated.

IHUB is headquartered in the city of Pyeongtaek, which is located in the southwestern part of the Gyeonggi Province. Pyeongtaek is approximately 65km south of Seoul and is within 30km of a major semiconductor manufacturing hub. Services provided include temperature-controlled warehousing and local transport.
