Judith Verner, development manager, fluid solutions said: “Our tanks are constructed using different materials to meet with the storage and transport requirements of a wide variety of oilfield chemicals. Some chemicals can have a corrosive effect if incompatible with the tank material, causing pitting and damage to the tank shell. It is therefore important to ensure product compatibility at all times. Using the wrong tank could potentially pose a risk to both people and the environment.
“In addition to the smaller chemical, acid and cryogenic tanks, we now offer larger tanks, with up to 20,000 litres capacity,” Verner added. “These have been designed to store a larger volume of chemicals over a smaller footprint, which is necessary with the lack of space on a typical platform and transporting vessel. It is more cost effective too, with larger capacity tanks meaning fewer uplifts being required.”
