Sievert eyes Netherlands expansion

Sievert Handel Transporte GmbH (SHT) is expanding capacity in the Netherlands.

The logistics firm has moved its Dutch site to Hardenberg, a few kilometres from the border with Germany. Sievert’s group headquarters is in Lengerich, Germany, south-west of Osnabruck.

The group provides a wide range of logistics services, including transporting granules and powders through its NTM subsidiary. It now has eyes on growing waste transport operations and activities for the offshore industry.

“With the new site we are creating conditions such that we and our customers can continue to grow over the coming years,” said SHT’s Rui Macedo.

The location in Hardenberg includes 6,000 sqm of outdoor space and nearly 4,000 sqm of warehouse and office space, including parking, manoeuvring and truck wash.

The site also enables the firm to offer more intermodal transport, being just 10km from a EuroTerminal intermodal facility at Coevorden. Transnational shipments account for about 70 percent of NTM’s company sales.
