Astrata Group has continued its strong growth trajectory, including expanding its customer base among MNC and globally managed accounts. In the past year, the number of global and cross-regional accounts, which Astrata manages with its best-in-class central platforms, has increased three-fold. Consistent with its global growth strategy, in the past year Astrata has also expanded into Latin America, with an initial focus on supporting its growing customer base in Brazil.
As a result of its strategy and growth, Astrata Group is pleased to announce the following organizational changes:
Astrata Group
Marius van den Berg, will be assuming the position of SVP, Engineering and Technology (incorporating his existing Group CTO function). In this role, he will have ultimate responsibility for, and senior management of, Engineering, Technology and Product company-wide. Marius will execute his role in close coordination with each Business Unit MD, to ensure effective management and execution.
Abdallah Harati will be assuming the position of SVP, Sales and Marketing (incorporating his existing Head of Sales of Astrata Europe function). In this role, he will have ultimate responsibility for, and senior management of, Sales and Marketing company-wide. Abdallah will execute his role in close coordination with each Business Unit MD, to ensure effective management and execution, and with a particular emphasis on top-notch global and multi-regional account management.
Astrata Brazil
As mentioned, Astrata has been expanding its reach into Latin America, with an initial focus on Brazil. To support these efforts, Astrata has recently opened an office in Sao Paulo and formed Astrata do Brasil (Astrata Brazil), which is being led by Luiz de Sá, based in São Paulo. He is a technology and telecommunications executive, with extensive experience in sales, commercial and technical operations and executive management.
