SCHÜTZ’s second French site in St. Étienne is expanding its production and storage capacities at the heart of the Technopôle industrial estate, 60 kilometres southwest of Lyon.

After a comprehensive modernisation programme, which included a new roof construction, flooring, roller shutters and the renewal of parts of the facade, the new hall is now in operation.

As part of the expansion, a state-of-the-art 3-layer extrusion blow moulding unit for IBC inner bottles is currently being installed in the new facility.

This will allow SCHÜTZ France to expand its capacity in the industrial southwest of France and will boost flexibility and supply security for customers in the Rhône-Alpes area, the region with the second largest economic power in France.

In St. Étienne, SCHÜTZ presently has a total area of 20,000 square meters under roof. The new expansion measures and the projects currently in the pipeline are part of the successive development of the site, which went into operation in 2014.
