Fecc is proud sponsor of UNIDO’s Global Chemical Leasing Award 2020

Fecc is pleased to announce that it is co-sponsoring two categories of the fifth Chemical Leasing Award in 2020.

The Award 2020 is jointly sponsored and supported by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation), the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU), the German Environment Agency (UBA), the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), the Austrian Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism (BMNT), and the European Association of Chemical Distributors (Fecc).

Fecc Director General Dorothee Arns says: “It is an honour for Fecc to support UNIDO and the other partners on this Award, which intends to showcase innovative and sustainable management principles. In particular, we are delighted to provide support in two categories: Chemical Leasing Case Studies and Women-led Initiatives. Both categories and the bigger topics behind them – sustainability and diversity – are very close to our heart”.

The Award aims to acknowledge best practices, innovative approaches and ideas related to Chemical Leasing and similar performance-based business models for sustainable chemicals management. The Award ceremony will take place in Bonn, Germany from 5 to 9 October 2020 (date to be confirmed). It will be part of the Fifth Meeting of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM5).

Companies and individuals are invited to submit their entries in five categories; three main categories (Case studies, Innovation, Research) and two special awards (Women-led initiatives, Start-ups).

All entries will be evaluated by an independent jury, which consists of highly recognized international experts from Industry, Science and Academia nominated by UNIDO, BMLFUW, BMU, FOEN and countries which have signed the Joint Declaration on Chemical Leasing.
