In doing so, the HOYER Group supports the infrastructural change for the energy transition, and positions itself as a pioneer in the intelligent inventory management of H2 fuels at service stations.
The use of green hydrogen is internationally accepted as a key factor in successful decarbonisation. Environmental initiatives pay special attention to the CO2 emissions from industry and transport. The future use of green hydrogen is widely recognised as essential to drive decarbonisation, particularly for long-distance journeys.
Accordingly, service station network owners are increasingly equipping their sites to include hydrogen refuelling facilities. Due to the characteristics of hydrogen, there is an increasing safety requirement for operators and suppliers.
Safe, reliable logistics for alternative fuels
Richard Thompson, Commercial Director, Gas & Petroleum Logistics of the HOYER Group, says, “We have specialists with expertise both in supplying service stations and in gas logistics. We have operated both business areas safely and reliably for many decades.” By combining its know-how in handling gases with experience in digital, system-supported supplies to service stations, HOYER now also offers automated, prediction-based product inventory management and supply logistics for H2 as well.
Thompson adds, “We can now provide service station network owners with our management services both for fossil fuels and also for alternative fuels. We undertake prognostic planning and full implementation for both product types, all from a single source, and of course with product-specific expertise.”
For its customers in Europe, the HOYER Group transports both hydrogen compressed under high pressure (Compressed Gaseous Hydrogen, GH2) and cryogenically liquefied hydrogen (Liquid Hydrogen, LH2). The use of special equipment and intensively trained personnel ensure safe, reliable logistics.
