Honkoop Barging is a well-known provider of barge transport services in the area of the ARA ports. The offer includes transport within the Port of Rotterdam, transport between the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, and many daily container line transports between the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp on the one hand, and various destinations such as Ghent, Vlissingen and Terneuzen on the other.
Following the takeover by Contargo, the activities of Honkoop Barging will be integrated into the already-existing barge activities in the Benelux countries under the brand name Contargo Transbox.

The existing managing director of Honkoop Barging, Henri Honkoop, will be managing director of Contargo Transbox in Belgium and will be responsible within Contargo for Contargo Transbox in the Netherlands, together with Carsten Borchers.
