LC Packaging becomes ‘Royal’ after ceremony

During an official ceremony on 15 February, LC Packaging received the predicate ‘Royal’ in honour of its 100th anniversary.

On 4 December 2023, the designation Royal was granted to LC Packaging by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands. This privilege is reserved for a very select group of Dutch companies, associations and institutions with a very good reputation, existing for at least 100 years.

Ms. Jeannette Baljeu, Deputy Commissioner for the Province Zuid-Holland to the King, handed over the official predicate to Mr. Art Lammers, former CEO and 3rd generation at LC Packaging in front of all Dutch employees and his family.

The predicate Royal symbolises the respect, appreciation and trust of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, towards LC Packaging, said the company.

It is the oldest royal decoration in the Netherlands.

Companies that have received the designation have the right to use ‘Royal’ in their name and to use the Royal crown in their logo.

Lucas Lammers, CEO of LC Packaging and 4th generation in the history of the family company, said: “The predicate Royal reminds me once more how special it is to reach the age of 100 years as a company, and to do this in such a good condition. This shows that not only our financial capital is an important asset, but so much more our social and environmental capital.

“At the same time, it’s a huge incentive to stick to our core values: to be committed, reliable and loyal. We want to thank all stakeholders around the world for supporting us in the past, present and future. From now on we are Royal LC Packaging!”
