The Hoyer Group has won the HANSE GLOBE 2024 for its holistic sustainability management along the global supply chains of the chemical industry.

Senator for Economic Affairs and patron of the HANSE GLOBE Dr Melanie Leonhard, Kerstin Wendt-Heinrich, chairwoman of the Hamburg Logistics Initiative, and jury chairman Stefan Hohm presented the award at the Hamburg Senate’s Logistics Dinner in the Great Ballroom of Hamburg City Hall in the presence of Hamburg’s First Mayor Dr Peter Tschentscher and around 320 invited guests.

This year’s three finalists were GARBE Industrial Real Estate with its “Straubing logistics property” project, the “Intelligent consumption control in refrigerated logistics” project by Peter Bade together with encentive and the Hoyer Group with its project on “Holistic sustainability management along global supply chains in the chemical industry”.

Launched in January 2023, the HOYER Group’s multi-phase project focuses on comprehensive data collection, forward-looking integration of regulatory requirements and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Thies Grage, head of innovation and sustainability, HOYER Group, said: “We are delighted to receive this award. As a Hamburg-based family business, we act and think in terms of generations and see sustainability as a social obligation.

“We have the ambition to constantly develop ourselves further and today we take away a lot of motivation for the future to continuously expand our holistic sustainability goals.”

Winners of the HANSE GLOBE in previous years have included Sovereign Speed, Lidl Switzerland, the shipping companies Hamburg Süd and Hapag-Lloyd, DPD Deutschland, the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) and Hermes.
