XLP member Racing Cargo delivers oversized cryogenic tank

Racing Cargo successfully handled the import and inland delivery of a cryogenic tank from Changzhou, China to Nuevo León, Mexico during one of the most congested operational periods at the Port of Manzanillo.

The operation overcame shifting terminal windows, strict height limitations, and weather variables to complete the delivery safely and without delay.

Oversized tanks do not wait for ideal operational scenarios and neither does Racing Cargo. When the cryogenic tank arrived, Manzanillo was experiencing peak saturation that included extended truck queues, reduced appointment stability, and critical height parameters influencing release procedures.

Despite these constraints, the tank was released the same day, transported inland, and unloaded with technical precision and full compliance.

The shipment moved on a 40-foot flat rack with dimensions of 1110 × 306 × 313 centimeters and a weight of 15,300 kilograms.
Designed to store industrial cryogenic liquids at ultra-low temperatures, the cargo required dimensional accuracy, route validation, and coordinated lifting at final delivery.

Key factors that supported operational continuity included early deployment of transport units to secure a favourable queue position inside the terminal, technical verifications to ensure height compliance for exit clearance, and mobilisation of certified lifting equipment suitable for the tank’s specifications.

Rain during final unloading triggered additional safety protocols, reinforcing controlled execution despite environmental variables.
The successful delivery demonstrated Racing Cargo’s capability to maintain schedule integrity and operational safety while navigating real-time constraints. In oversized logistics, ideal scenarios are rare, but reliable execution should not be.
