Automated access at Sevitrade

Spanish logistics group Sevitrade recently completed an ambitious investment aimed at modernising operations at its liquids terminal in Port of Seville.

The main objective of the project was to improve the experience of customers and transport companies through more agile processes for dispatching goods, more efficient access and better conditions for drivers.

One of the key actions is the automation of access control to the terminal, located in the Cuarto dock and the only one of its kind in southern Spain. Thanks to the implementation of intelligent systems, trucks can now carry out entry and exit procedures faster and safer, significantly reducing waiting times.

This improvement translates into greater operational fluidity, more reliable planning and optimisation of working time, both for transport companies and for the terminal’s own customers and Sevitrade workers.

The comprehensive access reform has made it possible to organise internal and external traffic flows better. The expansion of dispatch capacities reinforces this efficiency, facilitating greater responsiveness to peaks in activity and contributing to a more competitive and predictable logistics chain.

As a complement to these operational improvements, Sevitrade has created a new truck park, which has a hospitality; specifically designed for the rest of the drivers. This area has toilet facilities and spaces set up for breaks, providing an added value for the well-being of drivers.
