Ninatrans’ tank transport taken over by Withofs

Withofs Bulk Logistics has acquired the specialist tank transport activities of Ninatrans, as the Belgian road transport company sharpens its focus on its core business.

The acquisition will strengthen Withofs’ existing bulk transport operations and expand its presence in the European chemical industry.
Tank transport represents a specialised niche within Ninatrans’ broader service portfolio that no longer aligns with the company’s strategic priorities.

The company has therefore decided to concentrate its resources and investment on its core activities, which include express transport and time-critical domestic and international road freight, road feeder services for the air cargo sector, perishable goods transport, and cross-docking, distribution and warehousing across Europe.

Ninatrans also prioritised ensuring continuity of service for customers and safeguarding the position of employees involved in the tank transport business. Withofs was selected as a suitable partner, given its established expertise in bulk and tank transport.

“Tank transport is a highly specialised and regulated activity requiring specific expertise and ongoing investment. By transferring the operations to Withofs Bulk Logistics, Ninatrans’ customers will continue to be served by a specialist operator for which tank transport is a core business,” a company statement read.

“The drivers involved will also be able to continue applying their expertise within an organisation focused on the sector.”
For Withofs Bulk Logistics, the acquisition represents a further step in the development of its specialist bulk transport operations.

The company will combine its existing expertise in liquid and dry bulk logistics with additional capacity, experienced personnel and a stronger presence in the European chemical industry.
Gino Withofs, owner of Withofs Bulk Logistics, commented: “We are particularly pleased that Ninatrans has chosen Withofs Bulk Logistics to continue these specialised activities. For us, this confirms the confidence placed in our organisation and expertise.

“We aim to strengthen our position in European bulk logistics, while maintaining our focus on quality, safety and personal customer contact. Our ambition is not simply to grow, but above all to build lasting partnerships with industrial customers who can rely on us.”
