SCHÜTZ and Fibre Drum Sales expand decades-long partnership

SCHÜTZ has acquired a share in Fibre Drum Sales (FDS), a US company based in Posen, near Chicago, specialising in the sale, reconditioning and reprocessing of industrial packaging solutions.

For more than 30 years, SCHÜTZ has successfully cooperated with FDS in the field of IBC reprocessing. This expanded partnership will further strengthen both companies’ positions in the North American market.

“FDS is the largest independent IBC reprocessing company in Illinois and the Chicago area. Over the decades, they have developed immense expertise in cleaning IBCs. Deepening our excellent partnership with FDS will allow us to enhance our sustainable solutions for customers and grow this important part of our business,” said Frederik Wenzel, president SCHÜTZ Container Systems USA.

“SCHÜTZ stands for comprehensive customer service, quality products and innovation in composite IBCs. Their dedication to being environmentally conscious and their charitable initiatives further enhance their reputation as a company that values sustainability and community involvement. These are the values that our family and FDS have always embraced.

“During the most challenging times and even the recent global crisis, SCHÜTZ continued to be an incredibly reliable partner. They’ve consistently proven themselves as a dependable ally for our business through thick and thin. This partnership will allow FDS the opportunity to bring more value to our current customers, and most importantly help the business that our parents created in 1991 to grow more effectively in the future,” said Brian Evoy, president at FDS.
