CVS Engineering unveils zero‑emission SKL eMotion‑pack for electric trucks
CVS Engineering has launched the SKL eMotion‑Pack, a new zero‑emission compressor unit designed specifically for electric and hybrid trucks.
Developed in collaboration with fleet operators, the system enables efficient unloading of bulk goods — including construction materials, food, chemicals and plastics — without the need for a running engine or external power supply.
“The unit draws power from the electric truck’s battery, so no engine needs to be running during unloading,” the company notes in the release.
Compact and lightweight, the SKL eMotion‑Pack maximises kingpin load and frees up space behind the cab, allowing flexible positioning of the fifth‑wheel coupling and ensuring sufficient swing‑through clearance for standard EURO‑dimension trailers.
“There is sufficient swing‑through space for the trailer,” said product and sales manager Andrea Dente.
The system also offers significantly lower noise levels compared to diesel‑driven units. Its direct‑drive design eliminates the need for hydraulic oil or mechanical shafts, reducing maintenance and operating costs.
An integrated cooling system — including an oil cooler and compressed‑air aftercooler — ensures safe handling of temperature‑sensitive materials, while a safety valve and pressure silencer protect against overload.
The ePTO unit features a liquid‑cooled, speed‑regulated electric motor, with real‑time monitoring of key parameters such as temperature and torque. Installation is straightforward, using chassis‑mounted brackets and dual compressed‑air outlets for flexible unloading.
CVS plans further model enhancements to support all major truck brands as demand grows for mobile unloading solutions compatible with electric silo vehicles.
“The compact design makes the SKL eMotion‑Pack ideal for electric vehicles,” the company added.
