Since the vehicle was unveiled, colleagues at both companies have shared their own experiences and reflections on what Pride means to them, with both firms saying the response has helped open up conversations about inclusion across their workforces.
David George, International Strategic Account Manager at TIP, said the reaction from staff has made the project feel personal. “It’s been fantastic to see the reaction from colleagues since the tanker was introduced. People have been willing to show their own experiences and talk openly about what Pride means to them, which has made the project feel much more personal. It’s been great to see that response from both TIP and Tarmac colleagues and to see people getting behind the initiative.”
Richard Buggins, National Logistics Manager at Tarmac, pointed to the strength of the long-standing partnership between the two businesses. “We’ve worked with TIP for 15 years, so there’s a real strength to the relationship between our two businesses. It’s been particularly rewarding to see that partnership come through in something that has generated such positive conversations among our people. The stories colleagues have shared have shown just how much these initiatives can mean, and it’s been great to see everyone coming together to support it.”
