Arkas Bunker hosted DİTAŞ shipping delegation in Izmir
The DİTAŞ Shipping management and accompanying delegation visited Izmir to examine Arkas Bunker’s sustainable marine fuel processes on-site.
The visit focused on the operational structure and quality procedures involved in the transition to sustainable marine fuels, as well as on the cooperation between the two institutions.
DİTAŞ Shipping General Manager Hakan Karaca and the accompanying delegation came to Izmir on November 13 to take a closer look at the sustainable marine fuel supply processes carried out with Arkas Bunker.
The programme began with a visit by the Arkas Bunker and DİTAŞ Shipping teams to the DB Tarımsal Torbali facility.
The meetings focused on the technical functioning of the current cooperation, process efficiency, and the latest practices in integrating sustainable fuels into operations. Throughout the discussions, the importance of strong inter-institutional coordination in the maritime sector’s transition toward low-carbon fuels was emphasised.
The visit enabled a comprehensive evaluation of the ongoing collaboration between Arkas Bunker and DİTAŞ Shipping in field operations, and also highlighted the strength of mutual technical alignment and the shared focus on sustainability.
